老T不出新书很久了，问起，答曰：读旧作，不觉汗出，粗鄙拙劣，厚颜付梓，遂罢，不复
呵呵，很多写书的人都有这样的体会，尤其那些认真的人，读过去的作品，总觉得到处都是瑕疵，甚至写到第二章，再拐回来读第一章，都会觉得不满意。一点都不奇怪，因为经过一段时间的历练，写作水平提高了，欣赏眼界也便跟着上去了
其实程序员也经常有这样的体验，看自己以往写的代码，总会觉得，若是现在重写，一定会比那时高明许多——这当然是好的，但是程序员往往还有一个倾向，就不那么可爱了：看到别人的代码，总会觉得，若是自己来写，一定会更加精彩。这个其实也很正常，看总是要比做更加容易简单，而且因为看到了别人的问题在前，于是极力避免，倒也不难
最糟糕的是，当某些程序员——尤其初级程序员——受命要去维护这样的代码时，这样的心态就会带来麻烦，他们往往会干脆推倒了重来，找来需求，另起炉灶
这也不奇怪，身为程序员，我也很理解，因为毕竟，读别人的代码，甚至是读自己过去的代码，总是要比写新的来的麻烦——尤其老代码里还未必有足够多的注释——而且还可以纠正很多问题
这样的程序员当然是很勤奋的，虽然这么做会带来这样那样的一些软件工程学上的其他弊病，但是毕竟，可以纠正一些问题。软件工程学是不提倡这样做的，认为但凡还有一线之路，就不要轻易的推倒了重来，而是宁可拼拼凑凑的局部修补
理论上，软件工程学固然可以自给自足，然而真正做起来，其实很多时候，这种局部的修补，带来的问题会更多，让系统也更加复杂，更加罗嗦和低效，甚至导致程序员越来越退化，越看不到大局——因为毕竟，很多更加愚蠢的行为，都是因为要和以前的某些不是很愚蠢的行为相配套而不得已而为之
这就好像，很多大谎言是为了圆过去的某些不是很大的谎言一样
与其这样的修修补补，还不如推倒了重来——当然了，我这说的是程序，而不是人生

I’m heading to finish a stadium blanket I’m working on. I’m planning to make it possible to roll it, tie, it and give it a handle so that it’s a wonderful easy carrying package although walking to and from the car. My plan is to article a tutorial showing how it’s done.
