  7. I’m not sure why the 18% of GDP argument fits listed here. The very fact that there now exists a huge physician shortage is at quite least the motive why Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants really should decide up the slack. We all know that. The challenge is political. Physicians in general and many who are AMA members cannot accept the very fact that PA’s and NP’s are incredibly smart and competent professionals. Most MD’s who embrace us have a a lot a lot more rich and extensive practice and people who trust to do the appropriate point and exercise competently, do far better than practices and systems that really don’t. It can be just that uncomplicated, people today. This can be all dependent on egotistical physicians and managers who are much more worried about losing their political clout as opposed to looking for the actual image. It is so childish and foolish and won’t last really extended. When MD’s realize they only cannot survive independently with out us, I’ll chuckle loudly whenever they begin to beg to get us inside their practices!!!
